What do you do?
The Mechanical Engineer will work together with our multidisciplinary project team consisting of Geotechnical Engineers, Offshore Engineers and Operational Engineers. This team is responsible for the development of all future GBM Works products and services. The GBM Works team cooperates in a larger project structure with a consortium of leading multinational companies in the Offshore Wind energy market. For instance, in collaboration with GROW Offshore partners, the SIMOX project started in the Spring of 2024. During this project, GBM Works tested the method at scale 1:4-6 on bearing capacity and noise levels. Market launch of the Vibrojet® is foreseen from 2025 onwards.
Since we are a startup, the division of roles is not like in a standard company. You will be working on design, instrumentation engineering (such as sensoring), pumping & control systems, and throughout your job, you will develop yourself as required. We will also assess your strengths and, most importantly, what you enjoy doing the most.

Your role includes
Engage in process engineering and pump system design, contributing to both basic and detailed design phases for prototypes.
Setting up small-scale testing environments to full-scale implementations.
Work with sensors, including selection, housing design, and data analysis, to optimize system performance.
Validate technology qualifications, ensure compliance, and implement conceptual designs in real-world applications.
Oversee commissioning and site work, support in managing equipment implementation and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with factories, suppliers, and engineering companies to develop mechanical requirements and specifications.
Maintain close contact with end-users, project partners, and manufacturers, ensuring the tool meets desired specifications.
Participate in product decisions, working closely with other disciplines and project partners.
Dive deep into technical challenges, propose solutions, and assist with implementation and verification alongside cross-functional teams.

Job requirements
About you
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering (or similar)
4+ years of working experience in mechanical engineering
Ability to work with Inventor
Experience in pumping systems, control systems, sensor engineering & installation and seasfastening
Hands-on experience in developing offshore equipment is a strong advantage
Full-time available, living in the Netherlands
